How Firmio works
Firmio turns a customer's videos of a home into an inventory that a person has checked, and then into a price that a person writes.
At CNS Logistics, where Firmio is in use today, the person who checks is a CNS estimator and the person who sets the price is a CNS moving consultant.
Filming in the phone's browser
The customer films each room in the phone's browser, with no app to install. At CNS Logistics, the filming pages are at vision.cnslogistics.ca. Before filming, the customer reads and accepts a consent text, Consent v1.1, dated October 9, 2026.
One short video per room, in your phone's browser, with no app. The page tells you what to show, and tells you right away if the clip is clear enough. You also film the path to the truck and the building access.
The clip check
Firmio checks each clip within seconds, so a customer can film a room again while still standing in it.
A clip too dark to read is caught within seconds, while you are still in the room, so you can film it again right away.
The check of each clip is part of what CNS built itself.
The AI draft, from still images
AI drafts the first inventory list from still images taken from the video, never from the video itself. The model is Claude, by Anthropic.
The consent text describes it this way:
On our server, we take still images from the video. Only those stills, never the video itself, go to Anthropic, a service in the United States, with the room names from your move form and fixed instructions: first, within seconds, to check that the room can be read so you can film again if needed, and later to draft an inventory list.
Still images are analysed by Anthropic in the United States; before using this service, we assessed the risks as required by Quebec law and have a written agreement with Anthropic. In the United States, these still images and room names are subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its law enforcement and national security authorities.
The draft is a starting point: no inventory reaches the customer until an estimator has checked it.
The estimator's review
A CNS estimator reviews and approves every inventory before the customer sees it. For each line, the estimator can accept it, correct it, ask the customer, or remove it. The estimator also confirms or puts back the items the AI left out.
Software drafts a first list from still images taken from the video. A person checks it, line by line.
The three captures below show the estimator's screen, an internal CNS tool with its own older look, from a test by CNS's owner with no customer data.
The estimator's screen: before you start
Before a review starts, the estimator sees a summary of the rooms filmed and of the decisions left to make.
The estimator's screen: one line of the draft
Each line of the AI draft shows the still image the model pointed to, with keys to accept, correct, ask the customer or remove.
The estimator's screen: items the AI left out
Each item the AI left out is either confirmed as removed or put back in a room by the estimator.
The customer's confirmation
The customer confirms the inventory list before any price is written.
What goes, what stays. If a line is wrong, you fix it before the price.
The price, set by a person
A person sets the price from the checked inventory; software never does.
Set by a person. Never by software.
At CNS, the price is set by a moving consultant at CNS Logistics, from the customer's checked inventory.
The software sets no price: a person at CNS sets the price. No decision about you is based exclusively on automated processing.
The sealed record
Each step of a Firmio video quote is saved as a sealed record, and the customer's consent is kept with it.
Each step is saved as a sealed record with a digital fingerprint that shows if anything was changed afterwards, and your consent is kept with the exact text you agreed to.
Where it is stored:
Everything this service stores is hosted by OVHcloud in Beauharnois, Quebec, including encrypted backups; under contract, OVHcloud affiliates outside the United States may access the information to keep the service available, secure and maintained.
What Firmio does not do
Firmio does not set prices, does not send the video itself to AI, and does not measure rooms or surfaces.
- It does not set the price: a person does.
- It does not send the video to the AI: the AI sees still images taken from the video, never the video itself.
- It does not measure rooms or surfaces: it drafts a list of what is in the home.
- It does not need an app: filming happens in the phone's browser.
- No accuracy measure is published yet.
We are in beta; we do not publish an accuracy measure yet, and we will publish one when we have enough moves for it to mean something.
